If there were a time my mom could communicate with me from “the other side” it would be now, to tell me, “Don’t you dare post that picture of me!” This picture was taken 15 days before she died. Yes my mom looks less than her best but her two granddaughters and I, her favorite daughter Daria, climbed into bed with her. Can you see who else is in the photo? Do you see who my mom is holding as if she’s her third granddaughter? Yep, that right! That is the sole element of this photo that makes me smile every time I look at it. (Actually none of us look fantastic.)
