Light the Candles All Around the World

I first heard this song two years ago when my son was in kindergarten. Every year they include this song in their holiday sing-a-long.

Not a Parody

I love the Barenaked Ladies, they have fun, happy music. I first saw them at a music festival in Birmingham, AL before I really knew who they were. Then I was reintroduced to them a few years ago when I discovered Barenaked for the Holidays" including both Christmas and Hanukkah songs. This year I finally got my hands on the cd (love the public library!) and fell in love with their original Hanukkah song. I hope you enjoy it too.

Adam Sandler: Part 3

He just keeps finding more Jews to list in his songs. I think my favorites are the ones that he notes are NOT Jewish. Can't blame the Jews for those people.

Happy Hanukkah!

Today, for the first day of Hanukkah I'm posting a video. My intention is to find eight songs that are worth posting.

Why I just ran 4 miles in a light steady rain.

1. I live in Wisconsin and the temperature was 41 degrees when I started running and 42 when I finished.
2. The ice melted.
3. My legs are healthy.
4. I watched the Biggest Loser finale last night.
5. I didn’t do it yesterday.
6. I want tomorrow to be a day off from running.
7. I was frustrated during the “get the kids to school” portion of morning.
8. When I was finished I knew I’d feel stronger after running in the rain.
9. I see other people do it, so why not me?
10. If I plan to meet my goal of running all year a light, steady rain is the least of my weather concerns.
